Decision Support System for Selecting the Best Firefighters Using the Weighted Sum Model (WSM) Method

Fire is a threat to human safety, property and the environment. The population getting denser, construction of office buildings, residential areas, industrial areas which are increasingly developing creates vulnerability in event fire that requires special handling. This study uses Weighted Sum Model (WSM) method. WSM method for solving complex unstructured situation into several components hierarchical arrangement, by giving subjective values about relative importance each variable, determining variable has highest priority order influence outcome situation. decision-making process basically choosing best alternative. Such as structuring problem, alternatives, possible alleator variables, values, preference requirements time, risk specifications. results research show use decision support system model selecting Best Members Lubuk Basung Department can assist admin with multi-criteria weighting selection faster, more thorough effective manner, based on calculations it found members Alternative 3 name Yurnaldi, S.Pd score 80
